Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. Growing up, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as older Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana has a passion for the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to play the piano and sing from an early age, along together with her mom. She received more formal vocal training at the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. Her early professional career saw her perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. Following her move from Mexico to the United States at the age of 2000, she performed for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. The singer currently sings the traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. Alongside being an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for art and music has her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation to keep this tradition alive.
